Pakistan is set to participate in the ICC Men's World Cup 2023, starting from October 5 in India.

Both countries have not engaged in a bilateral series for several years. For most of the visiting Pakistan squad, this will mark their first time playing in the neighboring country.

The last time Pakistan and India played a bilateral series in any format was during the 2012-13 season. Pakistan's last tour to India was for an ODI and T20I series. They also had a Test match in 2007.

Among the current Pakistani squad for the World Cup, only Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Ali Agha have previous experience of touring India. Nawaz visited the neighboring country in 2016 for the ICC World Twenty20, although he didn't play any matches in the tournament.

Agha played a Champions League match in India as a member of the Lahore Lions squad. He participated in one match against the Dolphins, scoring one run off three balls.

The majority of the team will be playing in India for the first time. It is worth noting that due to the strained relations between the two countries, the Indian government has yet to issue visas for the Pakistan team despite the mega tournament being just days away.
