Former Pakistan pacer Umar Gul is no longer the bowling coach of the Afghanistan men's cricket team.

The 40-year-old's stint ended on December 31, 2020. He expressed his satisfaction and wished them the best for the future.

“As my coaching stint with the Afghanistan Cricket Team comes to an end, I’m grateful to them for putting their trust in me," he tweeted.

"I had a wonderful time working with the team and coaching the boys with the best of my abilities. I wish them the very best in the future,” he added.

Remember, Gul was named coach after a successful stint as a bowling consultant during a camp in April 2022. He was formally appointed in the following month.
