Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik’s inclusion in the Men in Green lineup for the second one-day international (ODI) against England is still uncertain.

According to Daily Express, Malik has rejoined the Pakistan squad, after heading back home for a 10-day leave, but whether he will take part in the second ODI against England will depend on passing the pre-match fitness test.

If the veteran all-rounder fails to clear the fitness test, he will then be considered for the third ODI match of the series in Bristol.

Earlier the Pakistan team management had given leave to all-rounder Shoaib Malik, so that he can return home to deal with a personal issue.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) did not make any further comments and fully expected all concerned to respect Malik’s privacy.

The Men in Green are currently on a tour of England and Wales, for a one-off T20I and five-match ODI series, ahead of the 2019 International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup.
