Pakistan-born USA cricketer Ali Khan has reflected on the team's historic win over the Men in Green in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

In an interview with a local sports platform, Khan, who was instrumental in the match, expressed confidence that the USA could achieve similar success if given another chance to play against Pakistan.

He praised his team's abilities, asserting that they have the potential to overcome any opponent, including Pakistan, as long as they field their strongest squad.

"We are capable enough of beating them (the Men in Green) again. No disrespect to them, but I think we are a really good side, if we have a full-strength squad we can beat any team on our day, not just Pakistan but it will be a great game of we play them again," Ali said.

Reflecting on the World Cup match, Ali Khan noted that his team felt no pressure against the Babar Azam-led side. He praised his team's performance, stating they excelled in all four departments, including fitness, which contributed to their victory.

"We weren't under pressure, they were. We knew we were capable of beating them," he said.

"We beat Pakistan in all four departments, including fitness," the right-arm fast bowler he concluded.

The victory over Pakistan was a significant highlight for the USA. However, the Men in Green have since faced further challenges, including a disappointing home Test series loss to Bangladesh. Bangladesh achieved a historic feat by securing their first-ever Test victory over Pakistan, winning both matches of the two-match series by substantial margins.
