Usama Mir comes in as concussion substitute for Shadab during South Africa clash

The substitute request was approved by the match referee

Pakistan have taken a concussion substitute for Shadab Khan in the ongoing match against South Africa in Chennai.

In a like for like replacement, Usama Mir has come in for Shadab.

While positioned at mid-on and attempting to prevent a single during fielding, Shadab landing on his shoulder, resulting in a head impact. Although a stretcher was called onto the field, the Pakistani all-rounder exited with the assistance of a physiotherapist.

He briefly took the field, but after a thorough assessment, the Pakistan team medical panel decided to replace him.

The substitute request was approved by the match referee.
