Saurabh Netravalkar, a standout fast bowler from the USA, is making headlines in international cricket. Originally from India, Netravalkar represented his homeland in the Under-19 World Cup alongside notable players like Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh.

After relocating to the USA for academic pursuits, he has successfully balanced a career as both a software developer and a cricketer.

Netravalkar’s recent performances have been nothing short of impressive. His contributions in the T20 World Cup 2024 and Major League Cricket 2024 have garnered widespread acclaim. The bowler is now setting his sights on the IPL 2025 mega auction.

In a recent interview, Netravalkar expressed his ambition to join the IPL, stating, "I mean, that is not in my hands. If the selection happens, it happens. I will try and let's see."

Prior to the T20 World Cup 2024, Netravalkar highlighted his dual connection to both the USA and India, referring to the USA as his "karmabhumi" (land of work) and India as his "janmabhumi" (motherland).

His impressive performances in the tournament included pivotal contributions such as taking 2 wickets for just 18 runs against Pakistan and securing a victory with a match-winning super over.

Netravalkar's stellar form continued in Major League Cricket 2024, where he emerged as the top wicket-taker with 15 wickets in 7 matches. His team, Washington Freedom, clinched the title, further enhancing his reputation.

Andy Flower, former Zimbabwe player and head coach of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), praised Netravalkar’s skills and professionalism. Flower described Netravalkar as a left-arm swing bowler with exceptional abilities in the death overs.

"His stocks have flown off the roof. Very skillful and a great man around the team. People will be looking and thinking, that's a left-arm swing bowler who can also bowl for us at the death," Flower said.
