The aggressive batter, Usman Khan, who grabbed everyone's attention by scoring two centuries in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), is not being considered for the series against New Zealand.

The PCB selectors have confirmed that Usman has indeed put up an excellent performance in the PSL but cannot be selected for the Pakistan national team as Usman has moved to UAE and is no longer eligible for national team representation. Therefore, he cannot be considered for selection in national team.

Usman scored a century against Islamabad United on Sunday, before that he played a three-figure innings against Karachi Kings, and against Lahore Qalandars, he got out after scoring 96 runs. In the last season of PSL, Usman caused a stir by scoring a century on 36 balls against Quetta Gladiators.

On the other hand, preparations for the series against New Zealand are underway. The national team camp will start from March 25 at Abbottabad's Kakul Academy, for which the announcement of twenty-five member squad will be made on March 19 or 20.

According to sources, selectors are of opinion that in PSL 9, the youngsters have shown excellent performances but only in one or two matches, but there is no one who has won everyone's heart by performing consistently in every match.

It is worth noting that New Zealand team is expected to arrive in Pakistan on April 14; three matches will be held in Rawalpindi Stadium while two matches will be held in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
