The cricketing community was recently alarmed when a troubling video of former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli went viral on social media. In the video, Kambli appeared in a fragile state, leaning on a motorcycle for support and struggling to walk without assistance.

The footage quickly spread across platforms, raising concerns about the former cricketer's health.

However, Kambli has since clarified that the video is outdated and that he is currently in good health. Speaking with the Hindustan Times, Kambli reassured his fans and well-wishers that there is no need for concern.

His friends, including schoolmate Ricky and first-class umpire Marcus, visited him following the video's circulation to check on his well-being. They spent five hours together, reminiscing about the past, and were relieved to find Kambli in a much better condition than the video suggested.

"He was in a jolly mood when we met him. He is recovering well and is in much better condition. The video being circulated is outdated. He doesn’t have belly fat and eats his food well. The entire family was present and enjoying each other’s company. His son, Cristiano, also a left-hand batter like his father, was taking batting tips from him," said Marcus.

Kambli's health has been a concern in the past, especially after he suffered a heart attack in 2013, just a year after undergoing angioplasty to clear two blocked arteries.

Despite these challenges, Kambli has assured his friends and fans that he is taking care of himself and remains in good spirits.
