With West Indies touring Pakistan, the cricket has once again returned to home soil. However, the management remains a problem to be dealt with as Wasim Akram also raised his concern.

Pakistan met West Indies on Monday to play the first T20I of the series at National Stadium Karachi. Despite a successful T20 World Cup campaign, the stadium remained largely empty.

Speaking about the lack of a crowd during the game, Wasim Akram showed his frustration and wrote:

"Incredibly sad to see an empty stadium in Karachi for the #PAKvWIt20 especially after the performance of Pakistan Team in the last month. I’m pretty sure I know why but I want to hear from you! Tell me, where is the crowd and why??"

Following this, the limited number of fans that were present at the venue complained about the huge delays they had to bear before the game started; the fans were not being allowed to the stadium and neither were being updated on the situation.

Talking to a media member, one fan claimed that he had to wait more than three hours before he was provided with an update that the match will begin soon.

This is VERY concerning. This is not a backyard game this is an International Series https://t.co/0n0DWVmVyx

Responding to this video, Wasim Akram emphasized that this is a concerning matter since these teams are playing international series and not some backyard cricket.

PCB has taken several positive initiatives since Ramiz Raja took over. However, with PSL also approaching, the board needs to come up with proper logistics planning to not only help the fans present at the venue but also those who suffer in and around the stadium due to traffic jams.
