The owner of Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Karachi Kings, Salman Iqbal, has received the prestigious Sitara-i-Imtiaz for his services for sports, especially cricket.

The ceremony was held at the Aiwan-e-Sadar in Islamabad where President Dr. Arif Alvi awarded the award to Salman and others for their extraordinary services.

Apart from his contributions to Karachi Kings, Salman Iqbal also announced the introduction of a new international cricket league called 90-Ninety Bash which will take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Karachi Kings president Wasim Akram publicly praised Salman Iqbal for his remarkable achievements and the honor of receiving the prestigious award.
