In an exciting moment during the first Test between Pakistan and England in Multan, all-rounder Aamir Jamal made a stunning diving catch to dismiss England's skipper Ollie Pope.

The catch came off a delivery from Naseem Shah in the second over of England’s first innings on Day 2, sending Pope back to the pavilion for a duck.

England, eying Pakistan’s daunting total of 556 runs, faced early pressure, and Jamal’s athleticism in the field added to their woes. Jamal, who made his return to the team after recovering from an injury, was quick to react to Naseem's delivery, diving to his right to pull off a sensational catch.

Pakistan's innings was built on strong performances, with Salman Ali Agha leading the charge, remaining unbeaten on 104. Shan Masood's impressive 151, alongside Abdullah Shafique's 102, provided a solid foundation. Babar Azam chipped in with 30 runs, further bolstering Pakistan’s total.

England's bowlers did manage some breakthroughs, with Gus Atkinson taking two wickets, and Jack Leach, Chris Woakes, and Joe Root each claiming a wicket. Pakistan lost a few quick wickets after Tea, including Abrar Ahmed, who was dismissed for 3 by Root, and Shaheen Afridi, who fell to Leach after scoring 26. Saud Shakeel’s well-played 82 also came to an end after a delivery by Shoaib Bashir.
