Pakistan’s Babar Azam will lead the national side in the upcoming Test series against South Africa for the first time.

Interestingly, Babar’s inspirational cricketing journey also started against South Africa as he was the ball picker during the Proteas’ 2007 tour of Pakistan.

In a recent interview issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Babar opened up his journey, so far, and the sacrifices he had to make inorder to achieve his goals.

Karachi’s historic National Stadium will play host to the first Pakistan-South Africa Test on Pakistani soil in more than 13 years when play begins on Tuesday, 26 January. The second Test is in Rawalpindi from February 4.
