Cricket Pakistan shared a video of Babar Azam practicing in the nets ahead of Pakistan's two-match series against Sri Lanka. The video, which was shot during Pakistan’s recent training camp in Karachi, shows Babar's animated reactions to his shots, both good and bad.
After leaving a ball outside off stump, Babar says "Allah." When he fails to play a ball the way he wants, he says "Babar day bachay!" in a way of cursing himself. He also expresses his exasperation after mistiming a length ball way outside off stump.
Babar also appreciates some of his shots, such as when he knocks the ball towards mid-on and says "Haye Haye," or when he pulls a short delivery towards square leg and says "Oye lala."

In the video, Babar also asks the person giving throw downs to bowl bouncers "apni marzi se maro," meaning "bowl them as you please." He adds that the opposition will not ask him before bowling bouncers.
