Zimbabwe came close to defeating Bangladesh in Brisbane after upsetting Pakistan in Group 2 of the T20 World Cup. The team led by Sikandar Raza came close to the outcome of the Bangal Tigers before falling short by three runs. However, how the match's last over occurred left cricket fans worldwide puzzled. Bangladesh was first assumed to have won the match by four runs. Still, Zimbabwe batsmen were brought back onto the field after the umpire pronounced a never-no-ball in unprecedented circumstances.

The T20 World Cup in Australia in 2022 has already provided breathtaking drama, and the match between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh was no exception. With 16 runs needed from the final six balls of the match, Zimbabwe scored 11 runs from the first four balls, leaving just 5 to be scored from the next two.

Mosaddek Hossain of Bangladesh stumped Richard Ngarava on the match's last ball. On the final delivery, Blessing Muzarabani rushed forward, hoping to clear the ropes, but he missed the ball and was stumped.

However, after reviewing the footage, the umpires discovered that Bangladesh wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan had collected the ball a fraction ahead of the stumps. After long observation, the third umpire declared Muzarabani not out and delivered a no-ball, giving Zimbabwe a second chance at glory.

Muzarabani, on the other hand, missed the ball again, and this time there was no second opportunity as Bangladesh won their second group stage match.
