Watch: Fakhar Zaman breaks down in dressing room after his injury in Champions Trophy 2025

Fakhar Zaman, devastated by his wicket in the opening match in the Champions Trophy and his own injury, broke down in the dressing room. A video surfaced showing Fakhar Zaman walking towards the pavilion, visibly downcast. 

As he entered the dressing room, Fakhar lowered his head and began to cry uncontrollably. His teammates, including Shaheen Shah Afridi, attempted to console him during this emotional moment.

It is worth noting that Fakhar Zaman had previously expressed his disappointment on social media after being ruled out of the Champions Trophy due to injury. 

"Representing Pakistan on the biggest stage is an honour and dream of every cricketer in this country. I have been privileged enough to represent Pakistan multiple times with pride. Unfortunately, I’m now out of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 but surely Allah is the best planner. Grateful for the opportunity. I will be backing our boys in green from home. This is only just the beginning, the comeback will be stronger than the setback 💪 Pakistan Zindabad" Fakhar wrote on X. 

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that Imam-ul-Haq had been added to Pakistan's squad for the Champions Trophy, replacing Fakhar Zaman.
