Pakistan's hard-hitting batter, Iftikhar Ahmed, played an amazing inning during the previous match against Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2023.

After winning the toss, Rangpur decided to ball first and was in control after taking early wickets inside the first ten overs.

Captain Shakib-al-Hasan joined forces with Iftikhar Ahmed and created a massive partnership of 192 runs to register 238 runs after losing four wickets in the first innings.

The partnership between Iftikhar Ahmed and Shakib is now the highest-ever fifth-wicket partnership in T20 cricket, leaving behind the partnership of 171 runs made between A Hose and D Mousley.

Iftikhar Ahmed played an aggressive inning of 45-ball 100 runs, including six fours and nine massive sixes.

In the 19th over of the first innings, Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf came to bowl against Iftikhar Ahmed, but it was Iftikhar's night as he smoked three consecutive sixes in his over as he was quite in the mood to score big runs for his team.

Rangpur Riders were restricted to 171 runs after losing nine wickets. Iftikhar was named player of the match for his aggressive innings.
