A video shared on social media showed the former Australian fast bowler diligently collecting empty bottles left on the ground by players after practice.

Many fans on social media praised Gillespie's humble gesture. One user commented, "Because he belongs to a developed country, that's how they are."

Others pointed out that the focus should be on the players' responsibility to clean up after themselves, with one user saying, "This video should highlight that players need to learn basic decency." Another user added, "It's not just humility; it's something everyone should do."
