Pakistan team consultant director, Mickey Arthur, has arrived in Islamabad for a three-day visit. Arthur's arrival coincides with the national team's preparation for the upcoming T20I matches against New Zealand in Rawalpindi.
During his recent visit to the team's camp, the former head coach was seen in a cheerful mood as he interacted with the Men in Green, including star batsman Babar Azam, all-rounder Imad Wasim, and pace bowler Shaheen Afridi.

The 54-year-old, who has previously served as the head coach of the Pakistan team from 2016 to 2019, is expected to stay with the squad until April 20, after which he will head to England, where he currently serves as the head coach for Derbyshire.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has expressed its desire for Arthur to supervise the team in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 and ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023. While Arthur has partially accepted the offer, he has also made it clear that he intends to continue his job with Derbyshire, and will therefore join the Pakistan camp periodically.
During his previous tenure as head coach, Arthur oversaw a highly successful white-ball period that included a Champions Trophy triumph against arch-rivals India in 2017.
