Before the match, he narrated his story of reaching this stage and revealed how he got to know about his debut.

"My father used to support me, but my mother was concerned more about my fairness as it can damage in the months of June and July. Obviously, mothers are worried more but Alhamdulilah, I am making my debut for Pakistan in the same month of June," Haris said.

"Yesterday, I batted with Babar Bhai and got an idea of playing my first match. As soon we came back to the hotel from the stadium, Saqi Bhai called me in his room and told me about my debut," he added.

"I had a craze of cricket since childhood by playing on the streets with tape ball. I used to be out for the whole Sunday and in my family, I used to play the most. In 2014, I went to the academy and made my mind to play for Pakistan," he concluded.
