The luck was not with Pakistan’s left-arm pacer Mohammad Irfan on Monday as he received a blow to his head during the match between Dhaka Platoon and Rajshahi Royals in the ongoing season of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

The 37-year-old pacer was looking the other way when his Rajshahi teammate Andre Russell threw the ball towards him. Irfan was unaware that the ball was already in the air as he looked towards Russell to collect the ball. As a result, the ball hit him on his head and Irfan was seen hurt.

The left-arm pacer didn’t have much luck in his four-over spell as well, as he went wicketless while conceding 29 runs.

On the other hand, Irfan’s Pakistan teammate Wahab Riaz registered his career-best figures (5/8) in the same match to help Dhaka Platoon register a 74-run win against Rajshahi Royals.
