Pakistan team participated in its first training session on Tuesday, in Worcestershire, during its tour of England.

With cricketing activities suspended due to novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, the players were excited to be back on the field after a gap of more than three months.

“It is exciting for everyone. Everybody was itching to come back on the field because we have been not been able to practice for around three months,” said Misbah, who is the team’s head coach-cum-chief selector.

Meanwhile, batting coach Younis Khan was also pleased to join the Pakistan team once again.

“I feel really happy about this reunion with this Pakistan side. I have high expectations from our youngsters and the entire team and hopefully we will do well despite the pandemic,” said Younis.

Left-handed opener Shan Masood was also upbeat after taking part in the practice session.

“Really happy to be back because we have been away from the field since the PSL, three months ago. Hopefully this is the start of a very good tour for us,” said Masood.
