In a lighthearted moment before the much-anticipated T20 World Cup clash between India and Pakistan at New York's Nassau International County Cricket Stadium, Indian captain Rohit Sharma momentarily misplaced the coin for the toss.
During the toss conducted by host Ravi Shastri, Rohit found himself in a humorous predicament as he struggled to find the coin. After a brief search, he discovered it tucked away in the pocket of his trousers, eliciting smiles from both Rohit and his Pakistani counterpart, Babar Azam.
Despite the light-hearted moment, the toss proceeded smoothly, with Pakistan winning and opting to bowl first against India. Babar Azam, speaking at the toss, announced the team's decision to bench Azam Khan and replace him with Imad Wasim.
The amusing incident added a touch of levity to the tension-filled atmosphere preceding the high-stakes encounter between the two cricketing giants.
