A light-hearted exchange unfolded between former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and current white-ball skipper Babar Azam during the Champions One-Day Cup match on Thursday.

As spinner Sufyan Moqim was getting ready for his first over of the game, Dolphins’ wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed was caught on stump mic encouraging his teammates along with a hilarious jibe at Babar Azam.

"No hurry, no hurry. Let them keep chanting Babar Babar. We can allow Babar to play the 40 overs," Sarfaraz was heard saying from behind the stumps.

His sledging had fans laughing, with many suggesting it alluded to the widespread belief that Babar Azam’s long innings would only aid his team.

In the match, though, Babar delivered a vital unbeaten 104 runs, helping his team reach a total of 271 against the Dolphins in the Champions Cup.

In reply, the Dolphins’ batting lineup faltered, collapsing for just 97 runs in 25 overs, resulting in a heavy 174-run defeat—marking their third loss in the ongoing Champions One-Day Cup.
