WATCH: Shadab Khan sledges Shaheen Afridi during Champions One-Day Cup match

The Champions One-Day Cup match at Iqbal Stadium was not short on drama as Shadab Khan and Shaheen Afridi stole the spotlight with their on-field clash.

During the 29th over of the Lions' innings, Shadab Khan's delivery left Shaheen Afridi in disbelief. Afridi was dismissed for a duck by Usama Mir in the very next over, having faced just eight balls before being sent back to the pavilion.

Shadab engaged in some banter with Shaheen during that over, as the Lions were struggling at 156-6 in their chase of 284 runs.

The Lions were eventually bowled out for just 199 runs in 35.2 overs.

Afridi had a disappointing performance, struggling both with the bat and ball. Despite taking three wickets for 57 runs in his 9.5-over spell, his efforts were not enough to turn the game in his team's favor.

In their previous match against The Stallions, Afridi had taken two wickets and scored 22 runs. After two consecutive losses, his performance is under scrutiny. The Lions now sit at the bottom of the points table with a negative net run rate (NRR) of -2.170.

Afridi will be eager to make a comeback in the upcoming matches. The Lions are scheduled to face the Markhors, led by Mohammad Rizwan, on Friday, September 20, while the Shadab Khan-led Panthers will play against the Stallions on Saturday, September 21.
