Pakistan's star pacer Shaheen Afridi marked a special moment on the field during the second innings of the ongoing first Test against Bangladesh.

After dismissing Hasan Mahmud with a brilliant delivery that saw the ball edge onto the middle and leg, resulting in a sharp diving catch by wicketkeeper Rizwan, Shaheen celebrated his wicket with a cradle gesture, paying tribute to the arrival of his newborn son.

Shaheen and his wife, Ansha Afridi, were blessed with a baby boy on Saturday, whom they have named Ali Yar.

The heartwarming celebration on the field was a nod to this joyous occasion, bringing smiles to fans and teammates alike.

The occasion was made even more special as former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, Ansha's father, celebrated becoming a grandfather for the first time.

The left-arm pacer is currently part of the two-Test series against Bangladesh. After the first Test, he will return to Karachi to be with his family and will rejoin the team for the second Test in Pindi on August 30.
