India Champions have sealed their spot in the semi-finals of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025, finalising the tournament's last-four line-up.
The legends from India secured qualification after a dominant victory against West Indies Champions in their final group stage match at Grace Road, Leicester, on Tuesday.
Chasing 145 runs, India needed to reach the target within 14.1 overs to make it through on net run rate. Led by a quickfire half-century from Stuart Binny and a composed knock by skipper Yuvraj Singh, they completed the chase in just 13.2 overs, punching their ticket to the semi-finals.
With this win, India joined Pakistan, South Africa, and Australia in the knockout stage. The first semi-final will see India Champions go head-to-head with Pakistan Champions in a blockbuster clash on July 31 in Birmingham.
Earlier in the tournament, their group stage match was cancelled after India refused to play against Pakistan, but now the two sides are set to meet in a high-pressure knockout encounter.
Pakistan topped the group with four wins from five matches and a net run rate of +2.494. South Africa secured second place, also with four victories, while Australia ended third with two wins from five games.
Despite winning just once in the group stage, India edged past both England and West Indies on net run rate to secure the fourth and final semi-final spot.
The second semi-final, also set for July 31 in Birmingham, will feature South Africa Champions taking on Australia Champions.
