'We have three spin options available,' says bowling coach Azhar Mahmood

Pakistan cricket team's bowling coach, Azhar Mahmood, has stated that the team has three spin options, adding that Khushdil Shah has been included as both a bowling and batting option.  

Speaking in the mixed media zone, Mahmood said that no discussions have taken place regarding team changes.  

He further mentioned that Haris Rauf’s condition will only be determined after his MRI scan, and any team changes are the selectors' responsibility, not the management’s.  

"This is the best available squad that has been selected," he asserted.  

Regarding Babar Azam, he said, "Babar has been scoring runs, so there is no need to worry about his form."  

In the opening match of the tri-nation series, New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 78 runs.  

The Kiwi batters launched an aggressive attack, followed by an outstanding performance from their bowlers. New Zealand posted a massive total of 330 for six, while Pakistan was bowled out for 252.  

The second match of the series will be played between New Zealand and South Africa on Monday.
