James Neesham stated that they could utilize their PSL experience and put it to use in order to claim the series win against Pakistan
New Zealand landed in Pakistan to play five T20s and as many ODIs, with the first match commencing today at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
All-rounder, James Neesham, is also part of the Kiwis squad, and while talking to the local TV channel, he stated that they could utilize their PSL experience and put it to use in order to claim the series win.
"Pakistan are a really good team in their own conditions and we have to be on top of our game to come out on top of the series and hopefully we can use the experiences that a few of us have recently in these conditions,” Neesham said.
“I played a few games here during the PSL a month or so ago, I think the feel of the atmosphere has changed a little bit, it's obviously a lot warmer than it was at that time. So essentially a little bit more on offer for the bowlers as far as swing and that kind of thing,” he further added.
New Zealand is depleted of all its star players due to the ongoing Indian Premier League. Moreover, their prime batsman and captain, Kane Williamson, suffered an unfortunate knee injury which might lead to his exclusion from the ODI World Cup in India.
