Islamabad United skipper Shadab Khan feels there is still some room for improvement for his side after they finished at the top of the points table in HBL PSL 6.

While speaking in the post-match presentation, the all-rounder said he is hoping to address the batting lapses they faced while chasing 150 runs against Multan Sultans in the final league game.

"I don't demand much as a captain, I just want effort and we need slight improvements like the way we made some batting lapses, because it becomes difficult to find success during pressure situations," said Shadab.

"You can't think about result all the time, we can control our effort. Our boys showed character and attitude by making a comeback after the first 10 overs and showed they want to give nothing short of 100 percent," he added.

United face Sultans again on Monday for the all-important first qualifier and Shadab is looking to exploit Sultans’ lack of batting depth during that encounter.

"They don't have enough batting depth and they have a long tail. We will try to get top order out as early as possible," he said.

Shadab also heaped praise on his emerging pacer, Mohammad Wasim Jr, for picking four wickets against the Sultans.

"I am very happy for Wasim, he deserves all the praise and it's great to know that he is selected in the national team's squad and I hope he is going to play an important role in our wins," he said.
