Pace bowler Jeremiah Louis has been sidelined for the final Test against England due to a hamstring injury.
In his place, the West Indies have called up fast bowler Akeem Jordan for the third Test. Jordan, who has played in two ODIs but is yet to debut in Test cricket, will join the squad on Wednesday, 24 July, at Edgbaston, where the final Test will be held.
Louis, who had not yet played in this Test series, sustained the hamstring injury during the second match at Trent Bridge. Despite his injury, he will continue to travel with the team to receive treatment.
Jordan, awaiting his first Test cap, has an impressive record in First-Class cricket with 67 wickets in 19 matches at an average of 24.1, including two five-wicket hauls. Alongside Jordan, the West Indies squad includes fast bowlers Jason Holder, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, and Jayden Seales for the tour.
England have already secured the series with a commanding 2-0 lead, having defeated the West Indies by an innings and 114 runs at Lord's and by 241 runs at Trent Bridge. The third and final Test is set to commence on Friday, 26 July.
