Who does Babar Azam think is the best bowler in the world?

Pakistan's all-format captain Babar Azam has named Shaheen Afridi as his pick for the best bowler in the world right now.

Babar, who is ranked number one in ODIs and T20Is, said that Shaheen deserves to be in the top-ten list in every format.

"The way he [Shaheen] works and performs, he has to go further ahead [in his career]," Babar said.

Shaheen has remained a menacing threat for the batsmen in every format. Babar, while talking to a presser in Lahore, said that he is lucky to have such a hardworking and talented bowler at his disposal.

"Shaheen is the number one bowler for me. He will also stand first in the rankings," he added.

In addition to Shaheen's praise, Babar Azam also touched upon the importance of the recently concluded series against Australia and said that it will convince other teams to tour Pakistan as well.

"The crowd was fantastic throughout the series and seeing big stars on home soil is always a positive. This tour [of Australia] will play an important role for other teams to come to Pakistan." Babar said.
