Will PCB raise Rizwan's contentious dismissal issue with ICC?

The second Test match between Pakistan and Australia was marred by contentious umpiring decisions that sparked controversy during Pakistan's pursuit of victory in Melbourne on Friday.

In the 61st over of the game, Pakistan batter Mohammad Rizwan attempted to play a ball bowled by Pat Cummins, but the ball grazed the strip and went into the hands of wicketkeeper Alex Carey. Upon appealing, the on-field umpire did not give an out, but upon review, the third umpire made a decision in favor of the fielding side, which led Rizwan to express his astonishment.

During the post-match press conference, team director Mohammad Hafeez also expressed concern over the umpiring decisions, stating that there were highly conflicting decisions by the umpires. He believed that attention should be paid to this because an umpire's call could also become a reason for defeat for the other team.

Hafeez mentioned that at the end of the match, Rizwan was asked if the ball had touched the strip, to which the cricketer responded that the ball didn't touch his gloves but was in the gap between the bat and pad.

On the other hand, several media reports claim that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have discussed Rizwan's contentious out with Hafeez and are contemplating raising the issue with the governing body of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

However, upon contacting PCB, one of their representatives has confirmed that no such action will be taken to ICC.
