On the other hand, Islamabad United has looked strong by winning three out of their six encounters. The losses were majorly thrillers.

Islamabad United combination has been disturbed as their opener Paul Stirling had to join Ireland team for the international duties and Colin Munro is out with an injury, despite all the changes United put up a great fight against Quetta Gladiators in their previous game managing to score 199 from a position where they lost their six wickets for 109.

Faheem Ashraf scored a brilliant 55 off 48 balls including five boundaries and four sixes, but Islamabad bowling has leaked runs apart from Shadab Khan who has been the top wicket-taker of HBL PSL 7, grabbing 17 wickets at an average of 8.52

Karachi Kings have struggled in all three departments and are virtually out of the tournament, but with four matches remaining they can spoil the party for one of the teams who still has a chance to make it to the qualifiers.

United has six points after six matches and needs at least three victories out of their remaining four matches to stay out of the trouble on progressing to the next stage on the basis of Net Run Rate (NRR).

Gladiators and Zalmi are the other two teams in contention with six points each with three matches remaining. Karachi Kings will be playing for pride and will try to give some reason to their fans for cheering.
