Agha Salman, who scored 53 runs in the first innings for Pakistan, is up for the challenge on the final day of the first Test against England in Rawalpindi.

Speaking to the media after Pakistan appeared to be in control at the end of day 4, Agha stated that their goal for the match-deciding day is to take a winning approach.

"We are very much in the match," the confident batter said. "Winning is the only thing in our minds right now," said Salman.

While talking about his turn on the last day, Agha said he is all set to take responsibility. "Final days is a very important day for us. I wish these two batters [Imam and Saud] win us this match," he said.

"If I get an opportunity, I will try my level best to continue contributing to my team," he added.

The middle-order batter said they were expecting a surprise call from England given the style of cricket they had been playing over the last few months.

"It was expected to be honest. They are playing like this over the last couple of months. We weren't surprised at all," disclosed Agha.

It is to be noted that Pakistan need 263 runs to win as Imam-ul-Haq (47*), who also scored a hundred in first innings, alongside debutant Saud Shakeel (24*), will resume the charge on the match-deciding day today.
