The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 27-day training camp in Multan for the national women's cricketers as part of their preparations for the ICC Women's World Cup Qualifier 2025.
The camp will commence on Sunday, February 2, at the Inzamam-ul-Haq High-Performance Center, with players and support staff set to assemble on Saturday.
A total of 31 players, including 16 centrally contracted cricketers, have been invited to the camp. The training sessions will focus on fitness, skill development, and match preparation, with seven 50-over practice matches scheduled throughout February.
The players will utilize the state-of-the-art facilities at the Inzamam-ul-Haq High-Performance Center, while the practice matches will take place at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
Pakistan women's team head coach and former Test cricketer Mohammad Wasim, who took charge in July 2024, will oversee the camp.
Pakistan will compete in the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 Qualifiers alongside Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, Thailand, and West Indies, aiming to secure a spot in the mega event. The two finalist teams from the qualifiers will join the top six teams of the ICC Women's Championship 2022-25 in the eight-team World Cup.
