In Lahore’s National High Performance Centre (NHPC), openers Abid Ali and Imran Butt along with seamer Mohammad Abbas are currently working with the coaches to identify mistakes in their batting and bowling techniques.

Batting coach Mohammad Yousuf has been given the responsibility for the guidance of Abid Ali and Imran Butt, while head coach Misbahul Haq is also giving batting tips to both the openers.

Talking to the media Mohammad Yousuf said: “Issues with Abid Ali’s and Imran Butt’s batting have been noted in the last few matches, due to which they were not able to score runs. It is being worked on now, not a big issue, they will be able to perform well by improving balance. Both of them understand every little thing of the game.”

“In consultation with Misbah and Younis, we are trying to rectify the shortcomings of both. This is the purpose of the NHPC that cricketers who have problems, in any case, we have to work with them,” he added.

“Coaches at the NHPC are also working with Mohammad Abbas. Surely these cricketers will be able to perform proficiently in the upcoming matches,” he concluded.
