Pakistan batting coach Mohammad Yousuf has backed Pakistan and claimed that the Men in Green will adopt a winning approach on the final day of the deciding Test match against Australia.
Australia set a 351-run target after Pat Cummins decided to declare on 227-3 in the second innings. Pakistan openers absorbed the pressure late on Day 4 as they scored 73 without a loss of a wicket.
In a virtual press conference, Yousuf said that Pakistan will look to win the Test match and also backed Fawad Alam to regain his form after an overall disappointing Test series thus far.
"On the last day, both teams will go for victory. The competition will be interesting as playing on Day 5 is not easy," says Yousuf.
"Pakistan's batters have played well so far. I hope they will also play well tomorrow as the effort will be to win the crucial Test and clinch the series. We will go session to session and will look to strengthen our position," he elaborated.
It is also worth mentioning that both teams are currently sitting top of the ICC Championship points table and the team which registers the victory will secure the top spot.
