Yousuf's appointment as batting coach to be determined on series-to-series basis

Mohammad Yousuf's appointment as batting coach of the Pakistan men's cricket team will be determined on a series-to-series basis.

There have been reports that the legendary batter has been appointed permanently and is released from his position of batting coach at the National High Performance Center (NHPC) Lahore.

However, as per PCB sources, his appointment at NHPC is still permanent and will be part of the side for the Asia Cup, the tour of the Netherlands and the home series against England if required.

Meanwhile, he is expected to join Matthew Hayden in this year's T20 World Cup in Australia as Chairman PCB Ramiz Raja has already confirmed regarding the batting coach.

It must be noted that Yousuf has been part of the coaching panel since the home series against Australia. He is currently with the Pakistan Test team in Sri Lanka, where they secured victory over the hosts in the first match of the two-match Test series at Galle.
