Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has shared his predictions for the T20 World Cup 2024, currently being hosted in the United States and West Indies.

Yuvraj, a key player in India’s victorious T20 World Cup 2007 squad, speculated that India, West Indies, or Pakistan are likely to reach the final. Notably, he humorously expressed his preference not to see Australia in the final lineup.

"I’m hoping India, probably West Indies. Pakistan 3, and no Australians (laughs),” Yuvraj said during an event in the US.

As the ambassador for the T20 World Cup, Yuvraj is optimistic about India’s chances to win the tournament, provided they maintain confidence in their abilities.

"I believe we have the self belief of winning big tournaments. I think if India believes and backs themselves and plays to their own strengths, I'm sure they'll go all the way. And that's what I believe in," Yuvraj said.

Reflecting on past successes, he added, "I think that's the reason why we won. We focused on where, how we are good and the things that we need to do rather than thinking of where the opposition is going to harm us. We have the match winners.”

When asked about the player he is most excited to watch, Yuvraj named India’s wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, who will be making his return to international cricket following a serious car accident. He also mentioned Virat Kohli, praising his excellent form in the recent IPL.

"I would say Rishabh Pant. I am looking forward to the return of Rishabh, he is coming back from a massive injury. And leading run-getter seems like Virat Kohli, he's had a very good IPL," he concluded.
