Zaka Ashraf, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief, is currently under scrutiny as his four-month tenure is set to conclude officially on November 5.

Allegations of "flagrant misdoings and unconstitutional decisions" have been raised against him by a member of his own management committee, Zulfiqar Malik, in an email addressed to Ashraf and the committee, reported ESPNCricinfo.

Malik's email accuses Ashraf of deviating from the prescribed mandate of the board, neglecting directives to conduct elections for a new chairman, failing to provide his degree certificate, permitting undue interference in board matters by his son, Chaudhry Khan Mohammad, and misusing the office of the PCB election commissioner for political victimization and rigged elections.

Malik expresses apprehension over the administration's apparent disregard for its limited daily affairs mandate and stresses the importance of addressing these issues promptly.

In response to the allegations, the PCB defended its decisions, asserting that they align with the constitution and are intended to ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations.

The aforementioned email, dated October 3, triggered a subsequent request from the Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) for a comprehensive report on PCB operations, encompassing progress on elections and appointments in the board and contracts signed.

However, the PCB has not provided the requested report, and when questioned about the matter by ESPNCricinfo, they declared it to be an internal affair, refusing to comment further on their interactions with the IPC.
