The current Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee, Zaka Ashraf, is poised to receive an extension until the culmination of the ICC World Cup 2023.

The interim Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, emphasized in an interview that taking any decisive actions during the ongoing World Cup, which concludes on November 19, would be inappropriate. Kakar indicated that a reevaluation of the situation would be undertaken after the World Cup concludes.

It's important to highlight that Zaka Ashraf's four-month term is set to conclude on November 4, but as of now, no official notification has been issued regarding the extension.

Notably, allegations of serious misconduct and unconstitutional decision-making have been leveled against Ashraf by a member of his own management committee, Zulfiqar Malik. Malik conveyed these accusations through an email addressed to Ashraf and the management committee.
