Zimbabwe bolsters squad with international players for Pakistan Shaheens clash

Almost all the players who were part of the Zimbabwe squad that faced the Netherlands in March have been retained for this 50-over series

In preparation for the upcoming ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023, which will be held in Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) organization has announced a strong Zimbabwe Select squad to play against Pakistan Shaheens in a series of six one-day matches at Harare Sports Club.

Almost all the players who were part of the Zimbabwe squad that faced the Netherlands in March have been retained for this 50-over series, which commences this Wednesday.

The Zimbabwe Select squad comprises experienced players such as Craig Ervine, Sean Williams, and Tendai Chatara. Additionally, pacemen Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava, spin bowlers Wellington Masakadza and Brandon Mavuta, as well as all-rounders Ryan Burl and Wessly Madhevere, have been selected.

Pakistan Shaheens: Imran Butt (captain), Hussain Talat (vice-captain), Aamir Jamal, Abdul Wahid Bangalzai, Haseebullah, Kamran Ghulam, Mehran Mumtaz, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Huraira, Mubasir Khan, Omair Bin Yousuf, Qasim Akram, Rohail Nazir (wicketkeeper), Saim Ayub and Shahnawaz Dahani 

All matches will begin at 12:15 pm (Pakistan Standard Time)
