Farhan Adil has been a regular middle-order batsman in the domestic circuit, having played six seasons for Karachi Cricket Association and Habib Bank. An average in the mid-30s doesn't suggest outstanding talent, but Adil performed well on the A tour to the United Arab Emirates, and was picked for the Test squad which played against Bangladesh in 2003-04. He finally made his debut in the third Test, at the relatively ripe age of 26. It wasn't a happy debut either: Adil managed just 33 runs in two innings.
