Babar, Yasir to undergo fitness test for Zimbabwe tour

Pakistan batsman Babar Azam and spinner Yasir Shah are set to undergo a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore on June 23 before the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announces the squad for the tri-nation series against Zimbabwe and Australia, starting from July 1.

Babar fractured his arm during the first Test against England at Lord’s and was ruled out for the rest of the tour, while Yasir was not selected because of his ongoing hip injury.

The PCB will set up a three-day camp on June 25, while Pakistan are expected to leave for Zimbabwe on June 28.

After the tri-series, Pakistan will continue their tour of Zimbabwe with five ODIs starting from July 13.
