Bangladesh sweep ODI series against Zimbabwe

Imrul Kayes and Soumya Sarkar hit tons as Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by seven wickets in the third One-Day International (ODI) to complete clean sweep in three-match series on Friday.

Chasing 286-run, Kayes played a wonderful knock of 115 with help of two towering sixes and 10 boundaries to lead the home side to a comfortable seven-wicket win. Meanwhile, Sarkar smashed six maximums and nine boundaries to setup the run chase. He made 117 of just 92 deliveries.

Kyle Jarvis and captain Hamilton Masakadza claimed a wicket each for the visitors.

Earlier, Mashrafe Mortaza-led unit won the toss and invited Zimbabwe to bat first. The visitors scored 286 on loss of five wickets courtesy of brilliant innings by Sean Williams — who remained not out on 129. He smashed 10 boundaries and a six in the innings.

He was equally supported by Brandon Taylor (75) and Sikandar Raza (40).

Nazmul Islam claimed two wickets for 58 runs in his 10 overs, while Abu Hider and Mohammad Saifuddin bagged a wicket each for the home side.
