'Determined' Ramiz will rattle couple of cages as PCB chairman: Haysman

Australian-born cricket commentator Mike Haysman has backed Ramiz Raja to do well as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman.

Speaking to the PCB media team, Haysman said that he has enjoyed working with Ramiz Raja as he was a part of the SuperSport, South Africa-based television channel, team as well.

"I have spent a lot of time with Ramiz; whenever we used to travel, I was the dedicated driver and Rambo used to be in the passenger seat. Over time, I realised that he is a very dedicated human and I like him as a person," said Haysman.

He further added, "I am delighted that Ramiz has got the job as the PCB chairman and I expect him to rattle some cages because he is a very determined sort of a bloke."

Haysman further said that Pakistanis need to help themselves up after facing the disappointment of New Zealand and England canceling their tours to Pakistan.

"I would love for the cricket fans in Pakistan to understand that they have been badly let down by a couple of big cricketing nations. But I also like them to put that aside and put positive energy into the National T20 Cup," said Haysman.

He also labeled Pakistan cricket as the "best instinctive cricketing nation" and said Pakistan has always been a hospitable country towards him and everyone he knows.
