Did IPL copy trophy display idea from PSL?

In a highly anticipated event, the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 16 kicked off with a spectacular opening ceremony in Ahmedabad on Friday.

The star-studded event was headlined by popular Indian singer Arijit Singh and actors Tamannaah Bhatia and Rashmika Mandanna. However, the highlight of the show was a stunning light show using drone technology, which has caused controversy on social media.

Many viewers on Twitter have accused the IPL of copying the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight opening ceremony, which also used drone technology for a similar light show.

The IPL's use of drone LED technology to display the tournament trophy was particularly similar to the PSL's opening ceremony in Multan earlier this year.

Batting first, Dhoni-led Chennai scored 178 runs after losing seven wickets. In reply, Hardik-led Titans chased down the target with four deliveries remaining in the innings.
