Lahore Qalandars' Fakhar Zaman on Saturday became only the third batter in the history of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) to score 500 runs in a single edition of the competition.
The 31-year-old crossed the landmark during his 51-run knock against Lahore Qalandars today. In his 41-ball innings, he hit four boundaries and a six.
The reliable duo of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are the only players to score 500 runs in a single edition of HBL PSL. Both amassed this record in the 2021 edition of the competition.
Fakhar has only played nine innings this year and passed the landmark. The left-hander is currently the leading run-scorer of HBL PSL 7 with 521 runs. He averages 57.88 and a strike-rate of 157.87. He has registered six fifties and a century
