Fans enjoyed as Pakistan's new openers score at impressive rate in powerplay

Skipper Babar Azam and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan open the innings for Pakistan. The pair is best in terms of runs and have stitched five century partnerships.

However, there has been constant scrutiny over their approach in the first six overs. Shan Masood and Haider Ali opened the innings for the Men in Green against England on Monday in the T20 World Cup 2022 warm-up match at the Gabba in Brisbane.

They posted 49 runs in 4.5 overs with Pakistan scoring an impressive 66/1 in the powerplay. Haider Ali scored 18 off 16 with the help of three fours while Shan Masood made 22-ball 39, powered by seven fours.

Babar and Rizwan have been opening for the last 18 months, so it is impossible that Pakistan will change their opening pair for the mega event.

Meanwhile, the netizens were happy with Pakistan's start and loved the free-flowing approach.
