Foreign stars can't wait to visit Pakistan for Women's league matches

The upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 will showcase an exciting addition to its lineup - three women's exhibition matches in Rawalpindi. 

The matches, which will take place on March 8, 10, and 11, will feature both national and international female cricket players.

Ten foreign players have been confirmed for the exhibition matches, including Ireland’s Laura Delany, England’s Lauren Winfield-Hill, Maia Bouchier, and Tammy Beaumont, Australia’s Tess Flintoff, Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu, Bangladesh's Jahanara Alam, South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt, and New Zealand’s Lea Tahuhu. 

Pakistan women team star players Bismah Maroof and Nida Dar will lead the Amazons and Super Women teams, respectively.

The foreign players expressed their excitement about the event in a video message released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). They look forward to playing in front of the Pindi crowd and supporting women's cricket in Pakistan. 

The players also expressed their eagerness to explore different cities in Pakistan and engage with the country's rich culture.

"I am excited to be traveling to Pakistan for PSL 8 women's exhibition matches. I am looking forward to seeing Pindi crowd. Let's support cricket," South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt said. 

Bangladesh's Jahanara Alam also has the same feelings about getting an opportunity to play in exhibition matches. 

"I am really looking forward to visiting Pakistan once again for another cricket assignment. Let's fill Pindi Stadium," she said. 

England's Danni Wyatt and Ireland’s Laura Delany are thrilled to be part of this tournament and are eager to play infront of Pindi crowd.

Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu is excited about participating in the upcoming women's exhibition matches. "I am excited to explore another city in beautiful Pakistan. Support the women's cricket," she asserted.
